Z2K is a small Westminster based charity committed to the alleviation of poverty and correction of oppressive policies and mistakes by government bureaucracies. They have recently received funding to set up and operate a specific housing benefit project intended to raise awareness of the cuts and provide practical assistance to those affected.
As part of the project they are currently offering free training sessions for voluntary and public sector organisations working with impacted groups. The training covers: the cuts themselves, their effect on the private rented sector across London, the options available to tenants to try to stay in their home and what to do if they have no other choice but to move. This training is largely intended for organisations who work with affected clients/service users but who might otherwise lack the confidence or expertise to inform tenants about the cuts.
